But you'd miss the part where you pick up three different brushes to see how they feel in your hand, or notice a paper you didn't know existed and decide you need to try it. That's the whole point of shopping in person, and it's a big part of why we built this store the way we did.
The Community Canvas store carries pastels, paper, pen and ink, watercolor, brushes, and a whole lot more. Whether you're stocking up for a project you already have in mind or just wandering in to see what catches your eye, there's plenty to look through.
If you don't know what you're looking for, that's fine too. Tell us what you're trying to make, or even just describe the vibe, and we'll help you figure out the rest.
TRY BEFORE YOU BUY
We'd rather you test a pastel on scrap paper and find out you don't like it here than get it home and be disappointed. Ask us to open something, swatch it, or show you how it works. That's not a bother, it's kind of our favorite part of the job.
No question is too basic. No supply request is too small. If you're not sure what the difference is between two kinds of paper, or you've never used gouache and want to know what all the fuss is about, just ask. We'll walk you through it.
Brands In Our Store
We carry supplies for beginners, working artists, and everyone in between, from student grade to professional. If you don't see a brand you're looking for, let us know. We're always happy to talk about adding something new.
Community Card Program
Art supplies can add up quickly. Sometimes, a student or artist has the idea, the motivation, and everything they need to get started except enough to cover the cost of supplies.
That's where the Blue Goose Community Card Program comes in.
The program helps cover supply costs for people in our community who need a little extra help participating in the arts. Right now, funds come from direct donations and sales of our store-made Artist Trading Cards, created by our community and shared back into it.
It's one small way we can make sure cost doesn't have to be the reason someone puts their creativity on hold.
